i really wish this want true, but because you have a 96 (as do i) the f-body upgrade is much more costly and difficult to do. you will need all of the f-body stuff, new rotors, new lower spindles, new 98+ struts, 98+ lower spring seat, and possible new upper spring seats, springs, and strut top mounts from a 98+
i priced it out and for me to do a f-body upgrade on my 96 and get the upgraded STS spring and install everything myself would run ~$950
the reason all of this is so much more difficult it b/c the 96's calipers are part of the lower knuckle, where the 97+ riv's have the calipers bolted to the knuckle. and you cant swap just the knuckle b/c out suspension doesnt bolt up to it AFAIK.
