well to tell you the truth shintsu I actually kind of like it, to me its sort of refreshing. The only thing that is totally annoying is when the wind is blowing so hard and it is so cold outside that four major power lines snap and it takes them not one, not two, not three, but FOUR fucking hours to get the power back on. that means no furnace for four hours. ya let me tell ya thats loads of fun..........fucking winter
Damn. I thought it was shitty having no power for 8 hours when Hurricane Ike blew through here but it wasn't cold. I'd probably be sitting in a corner with a billion blankets piled on me. Although for four hours, unless your house is not usually that warm or not that well insulated should keep it in reasonably so as long as no one swings the doors open. I know our house would probably stay warm for a good 10 hours or more before the temperatures really started to drop. Ever since we had new windows put in the house is so much more well sealed, and that was like 6 years ago.

Those would be the times a fireplace would be nice. I just like the sound of it. But we have no fireplace nor anywhere we could put one. When I buy my own home I want to have a fireplace for sure though. I don't know much about them but I know some are gas and I'd rather not have that kind. I want a good ol' fashioned wood burning fireplace.

ya well my house is pretty old and the windows insulate practically nothing. so my house by the four hours dropped to most likely about 25-30 degrees.

Check ebay or Autozone. My dad bought these from Autozone but they don't carry them around here anymore to my knowledge. They come in pairs I believe. Maybe you could find them at an auto show?

This is the best I can come up with on eBay - not sure if these are what I have but they do change colors. I don't know the exact bulb fit off-hand so you'd need to check that they would fit.
