| So I was driving home and gave it a punch on the highway (pegged the speedo)
During WOT acceleration the trac light and SES light came on (SES light flashing). Got a code P0300. What is that ? Couldnt find it with a search. Is it a misfire. The engine pulled fine
And whats up with the trac light coming on?
Only difference is I saw 5* of KR. I did up my timing just a tad, but I wouldnt think it would cause that much KR. Guess I was wrong. Or is something else up?

| KR number is 'double' what the needed timing reduction is. How much is "a tad"? | |

upped it 5% across the entire band. so maybe 1* if that under WOT timing. If I knew what the code is that would help. I will reduce timing back to stock and replace plug wires as mine are still stock at 112K miles.

How is your fuel pump doing?

How is your fuel pump doing? to my knowledge it works fine, you can hear it running and its the same volume its always been. How would I know if its going out? Ive read the stock pump is good for 300+ WHP. Im just assuming Im around that point, but Ive never pushed my car as hard as I did the other night, just some WOT runs through 1st and 2nd.

| That code can be from a few different things. Give the reduction a try and see fi that cures it.
If that doesn't the usual suspects are a bad coil, wires and plugs.

you are still using stock heat range OEM plugs with your mods? i'd get those and the wires changed asap. then rescan for KR. like tony said p0300 is a random misfire code, the trac light probably came on also because it reads off the engine's timing too. if it misreads then it will turn off. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. I got new plug wires on the way, mine are original with 13 years and 112K miles on them. Thats the first place Im gonna look. '

| You don't want to run 103s. Not if you drive the car on the street. Let's see what happens with the wires and go from there. Does it come right back after you clear the code? Have you done a case learn? | |

the light never came back when I cleared the code, but I also haven't had it WOT down the highway again. Ive never done a case learn on my car - at least not to my knowledge.
