Just to explain the importance of the wires, one of mine shifted and was resting on the header (exhaust manifold) making it arc. The car had no power, shifted weird... just sounded awful. This was all for one morning driving to work (bad morning). I fixed that wire and everything was fine.
So one wire can screw up everything with the way the car drives. I'm guessing the plugs are fine unless one of them is cracked around the porcelain.
