Ok.. so, knock-offs of SLPs are fine, but knock-offs of knock-offs are bad? How do we know which Chinese-made copy is better than another? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| Probably because regular pacesetters have their share of problems , and I can't picture knock offs being better than the original. | |

| Maybe I'm wrong, but aren't Pacesetters knock-offs of SLPs? I didn't think of them as "original". _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

pacesetter are their "own headers" they have smaller primaries than SLPS.... there are a few chinese knock off's of these OBX and some other lame chinese maker.... anywho! the XS headers are the route to go! they have bigger primaries and they come with a 3 inch down pipe... you do need to two of those FAT clamps for 12 dollars from ZZP or wherever.... but IMO XS dominates i have seen a few sets go in on GTPS and a GS and for the money i WILL be buying a set of these.........

| Has any body on here installed the XS headers yet? Also, do me a favor and no one bid on the set coming up for sale on EBay please. I put in the bid that's currently there for that set. There are others to follow. Thanks. | |

| Hey, in one spot, they say mild steel tubing and another spot it says "STAINLESS STEEL 321 HIGH GRADE , YES NOT BURMESE CHEAP OBX GRADE HIGH GRADE STAINLESS STEEL"
So which is it? I get a little paranoid about poorly worded auctions, maybe it's just me.

| Well, if everything goes according to plan I should be able to answer your question definitively in about a week. But, from what I've heard others say, they are supposed to definitely be Stainless Steel. I emailed SSAutochrome over a month ago and they responded with SS. We'll see. Rick | |

| We've all been through the stainless steel debate with these knock-offs. The description always bothered me as well. I could never get myself to buy a set, I ended up going with a rear PEM and a front stainless powerlog with the ceramic coating. I just wanted something that gave me the least amount of fitment problems, plus I knew I was never going to go too far with my Riviera mods. | |

| And that's a respectable position. Headers are overkill for most who buy them, imo. Not a total waste, but they really don't help that much until you are heavily modded. I could've waited on mine. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| ^^ Two good posts. A bit of a reigning in for those of us caught up in the header talk, and a reminder to plan your mods. Too easy to go out and just throw money at the car. We all work too hard for the cash to just spend it without a good plan. But I still wanna see those babies installed on Rick's ride! | |
