| I did my fenderwell intake without removing the plasticy material above the wheel, and was wondering how do you guys pull out the little tabs, I tried to get one out with a flathead screwdriver, and accidentally broke one of them off with it still holding the plastic in place..... | |

| Serious, that's what I use. The pop-up fasteners do break from old age. I went to the dealership and asked for a deal on 20 of them - got a very good discount, and replaced almost all of mine.
The replacements you see in the auto parts aisle aren't exactly the same. OEMs fit the best. | |

| AA, where did you buy the ampro tool? I checked autozone, but their tools looked fairly shoddy | |

| You know, I can't remember for sure, but try Advance Auto parts if you have them in your area. | |

| I have that tool also, but I just pried them up slightly with a flat blade screwdriver, then pulled them out with a needle nose pliers. | |

| I've tried to find a match at NAPA and other parts places, and could not. GM uses about 50 different push-lock retainers, all different. If you find out which one NAPA stocks that is the same, please let us know. Thx. | |

| I have a bag of them on my workbench. I'll see what number they are when I get a chance. | |
