| Did a little work this weekend to the car. I was under the impression that pulling a res made our cars loud and raspy from what I had heard on other forums. You guys said it didn't. How does it feel to be 100% correct? There's no noticable difference that I can tell in sound level and no droning. Old and moldy New and fresh | |

| It's been started and driven, but not with the cutout open. That's a special treat I'll save for the track.
I did wrap the SLP flex though. No more ticking at all. I should have done that a long time ago. | |

| I got a hogan and I wouldn't call it a ticking as much as a fairly loud hiss with throttle. I need to get in there and wrap that one of these days
sweet cutout hahah | |

| I had a Hogan in the past and there was no tick/noise from it. The flex that SLP uses is known to tick. Most folks weld in a different flex if they are concerned about the tick. | |

| I wrapped mine the first year, lasted through the winter but just barely. Must've done a better job the 2nd time, because I'm going on year #3 and it still looks good and no tick. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| What did you use to clamp it. I wasn't impressed by the locking bands that I picked up from the parts store. | |

| I realze I'm replying to a very old post but I ran into a guy in Ashtabula Ohio at a flying J with a nice grey or silver riv. It was pouring/ he was leaving I was fueling and didnt have much time to talk. I told him about rivperformance.com and asked him to share some information, he was maybe late 60's, Michigan plates and heading west. I noticed his riv sounded nicer than any 3800 I've ever heard and what his exhaust package was, he said "his son put a cherry bomb in place of the resonator and did something with the front manifold" but didnt know what, he said he "loves his Rivieras" and will try to learn how to use the internet. Michigan members be on the lookout it almost sounded like a V8 | |

| I'm thinking of changing my exhaust, I already have a high flow cat, but the rest is stock. I am thinking maybe i should change my resonator first because i have read that it is the most restrictive part. I definitely don't want drone so i want to use a longer resonator. I'm thinking this one: It is 24 total inches long, and it has 2.5 in diameter outlets.
