| I was waiting for this day. Keep us updated and good luck. And on the rental, who cares? It's a rental. Beat it where you can't see the bruises. | |

When my trans went, I got a Prius. I'm convinced they reserve these cars for Buick owners! (Have to admit Prius was kinda cool, actually. First hybrid I ever drove) Good luck on your new build. | I had my dads old 05 prius for a couple weeks when my timing set broke Dec '11 and although it was kinda similar to this yaris, it was still more comfortable and entertaining to drive. The 4 hour drive home in this shitbox was just brutal. My ass and feet hurt after about a half hour in it

| Our Jeep (Compass) is awful. The seats have no give in them, the ride is harsh and jiggly, and the seats are impossible to get comfortable with. The only time I've ever been comfortable in that car is laying on my side with the seat fully reclined and a few pillows for support. | |

| That much power going into the trans for that long is impressive. Its a bummer, but you cant really be disappointed at the job it did. Now youll have an awesome trans and the car will be even better! | |

| my first rental was a 2013 beetle. i looked like a clown but true to the old sayin the fastest car is always a rental. i put 500 miles on it in about 6-7 hrs then had it for 2 days before i had to turn it in (company got it for me to drive home from cleveland instead of flyin) i know i did frame damage jumpin curbs in town with it and feel sorry for the brakes when id pull into a parkin spot and slam em down. much to the amusement of everyone around as the gaucked as i got out and hit the alarm and exclaimed "its a rental" lol. think a few old ladies had heart attacks. the ride was shit tho on it too | |

I almost daily ride my Gixxer like 60+miles lol My bike has been sitting for like 5 years, 2 of which was outside getting snowed on, etc. It needed a lot of work. I just recently replaced the crank pick-up sensor and that was the really main thing to get it running. Since I still have no good airbox and my battery doesn't fit with it anyway, I still have to fix the jetting/tuning on the carbs to use aftermarket air filters and run properly. Right now the main issue is if I let it idle slower than 3000-3500rpm, it likes to die and not turn back on for a while - otherwise it's decent but that first day when I wasn't aware of this symptom really sucked. Bike irrecoverably died 2 or 3 times in intersections and that really sucks

My fuel injectors start my bike right up everytime before my trans let go, I was toying with the idea of doing an EFI conversion to my bike. If I waited for a group buy deal, it would be $480 but that's still more than I can justify really for a bike I paid $200 for and have no intention of making faster

| So when it broke Saturday, I called up AAA and enrolled in the premier thing or whatever so I could get the 200mi tow from PRJ near Indianapolis to TEP in Ft Wayne and they gave me my member number over the phone but they said I had to wait 72 hours before I could schedule the tow. Wasn't really an issue because Dave at triple edge performance is on vacation until next week anyway. So I ended up renting a car at the Indianapolis airport to get home. First thing Wednesday I call AAA to set up the tow and they tell me I need to be at the location with the car when the tow truck gets there and I'm supposed to go along to the destination to which I said can't and can't. Asked the manager and whatnot and they said the same thing. After consulting with Paul we decided to just lie and say I was there and everything. I actually called them again 4 hours later and told them I arrived there and I'll be driving along the tow truck and so fourth and they set up the tow telling me I'll need a photo ID and stuff since I don't have an actual AAA card yet. Then I just went to work and kept my fingers crossed. Thankfully the tow guy was cool and wasn't too concerned about the really inconvenient formalities of AAA and got the car to TEP no problems.
Besides that, PRJ and I were able to convince somebody he knows that has multiple GM Racing 1" transmission chain sets that the turtle is worthy of having one. There's a whole story to that but basically this guy got a bunch of awesome stuff found in some GM plant somewhere in a crate and there was some sort of agreement how he's gotta disperse the parts and he's not just selling this stuff off to anybody. For that reason, I'm not disclosing what I paid or anything but I chose to pay a little tiny bit more to get the rather rare 3.11 set instead of one of the 3.29 sets he has. I want to keep my great highway fuel economy at least.
The rest of the transmission is going to be determined when Dave returns and I discuss with him but it's a fair bet it'll get a 300m input shaft from somewhere, obviously keeping the GMR torsen, and the rest I'm just gonna go with his recommendations mostly.

| Hey dude sorry to hear that. I went thru the same with my car. The trans was rebuilt about 5 years ago along with a trans mount. There is a 95 Riviera in the pick n Pull in Summit, IL. Im not sure if the trans would fit. I already took a few parts off it I needed. | |

| It would probably work but don't do it. It's an older and weaker model. Rebuild yours or go out and get a new one. | |

Sounds sick Believe me I have thought about this. Bottom line is I like the riv more than anything else that's in the cards and frankly I'm already in deep with the car in general. It's gonna cost money to sustainably go fast either way you do it. If I full-well plan to set a 8th gen street riv 1/4 record and if i can get somewhere on the m90 hp list that would be really cool
