That paint looks immaculate!

How did you do the thick grille again? That'll be my next thing. What size chrome strips are they, 3/4"?

Yeah I checked the grille thread, it is 3/4" but what I'm curious about is you said you haven't had any heating problems? And you live down in FL while I'm in NY. Has anything happened since then? No breakdowns or anything?

i have had Zero over heating problems. prior to 180 tstat car ran at 195-210 dependin on traffic. Since the 180 it runs from about 180-200. it gets smokin hott down here and hit 95 a lot. ive driven from pgh to FLA. been in the rain and 2 full pgh winters. i also have a screen covering my grille most of the time from my bra. so that cut down air flow more and still no heating problem.

tips... cut 2 pieces at a time. on for the left one for the right. just cut one piece and make sure it fits...then flip it over and use it as a template for the opposite side.
what gets really hard is u have to make sure u go with the slight angle of the grille. if not it looks really bad. always cut a little bigger then guessin smaller. u can sumtimes squeeze it in instead of having a gap. good luck and a lot like at least an hour.

Thanks, I figured I'd use them as templates for themselves. I'll take the grille off and see about doing it from behind.

Scotty your Riv looks just like mine except my interior is burgundy in colour. I'm not a huge fan of the port holes but I prefer your colour combination to mine, I think its classic. The only think I would do is add a dash kit in the Honey Burl, that would complete the look. I am really jealous. bounce

thats a beautiful dash color but of anything id like to get a black dashkit. like rivman99(i think its his) ive already done a black pin stripe across the bottom of the dash and a couple of other carefully placed areas. i like it for now. but not ready to drop money on a kit...way too many other things i need taken care of. i.e rotors, calipers, SC coupler(BIIITCCCHHHHHH TO DO) cam sensor wire harness. i also have a few body blemishes that seem to be building. im kind of upset by that cuz i know that stuff is very costly and i dont have any friends in the paint business.

and i need a new front bumper.

I know, we love our cars so much and we don't know what to lay out the cash for first!

P.S. I am having trouble finding those chrome strips you guys are putting in your cars. I've been to a few stores up here, but no luck. What is the brand on the packaging? Maybe they have a website?
