| message from admin: Please post your finished dash installs in this thread. Also feel free to discuss color combos and other materials that might look good. For technical info regarding the installation of dash kits, please see this link: https://rivperformance.editboard.com/interior-f20/write-up-bd-trims-wood-dash-kit-install-t6425.htm______________ I put this in the showroom, but thought I'd move it into the correct subject. Burlewood does wonders for these interiors, they look good to begin with but it looks a good bit dressier with the Burlewood. | |

| The dark with the cream is perfect.
I'd like to get my hand on a light/blond wood like in the XLR's to put on my green interior

I'd like to get my hand on a light/blond wood like in the XLR's to put on my green interior I'm sure I paid too much, $350, but I looked all over for the one piece across the dash. I've had it in the car for around six years, I think. I liked it better than the other types for the'95 that have a piece on each side of the radio and three little strips that go across it. I have seen kits in all shades of wood, a couple that were pretty light and did look good in a dark interior but the ones for the '95's are getting harder to find since it only fits the one year.

| You get what you pay for. some of the higher-priced kits use real wood. The fit looks tighter on the better kits. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

I purchased my '95 dash kit on ebay for $75. I got one off of eBay that is the simulated black carbon fiber that fits the '96- '99 Riv for $40, figured the price was right to have a spare.

I have a five piece dash kit that is Dark Burlwood. It was hard to find a dash kit as I have the column shifter on the steering wheel. The column shifter requires a dash cut out area to the bottom right of the steering wheel.

| Hey folks, first post here. Looks like a great forum! My wife and I own a 99 Riv, Silver Arrow #102 (hence the user name). Here's a dash kit installed it. It's real rosewood and bought from a company called Kickin' Dash. We had a 97 model with the same kit put in it as well. | |

| www.kickindash.com is where we've gotten both of our kits. Price was very reasonable and quality is tops. You can get the full kit including dash, door arm rests, and console (10pc), dash & door panels (5pc), just dash (3pc) and even if you have the column shift with no console.
Lots of choices for color and material too. We used real rosewood on our 97 and 99. Installation was a piece of cake too.

| 99Rivman (Randall) has a carbon fiber kit. I've never seen plain black. Is it gloss or a muted black? | |

I do have the 10pc carbon fiber kit that fits '96-'99, it is gloss thats for sure. I don't recall ever seeing a kit that was solid black. I have not installed it, I just got it because the price was right and figured I'd have it if I ever needed one. I could try and get it in place against the gray interior of the Silver Arrow and get some pictures if you would like. It might be next weekend before I could though.

| so my Riv is Beige interior..pics of it on my car domain. im havin a tough time choosing a good accent color to go with it. should i go with grey? maybe black? or maybe just go all beige(not really into that). all would fit extremely nice in my eyes. i just would like to get some insite from u all. im looking to get a steering wheel cover(maybe, i dont wanna add even more size to the wheel). i would like to get some car mats, rubber or carpet? any other add ons that any of u have that would be cool?
also i saw some touch up paint for gm models..how do i know what paint number i am? there were 2 that looked very similar. like 605 and 652.
Thanks | |

| A burlwood or other rich colored wood dash kit would look great in a beige intereior. It would break up the beige monotone theme and bring attention to the dash and be more appealing to the eye. | |

Based on your picture the interior color code is 554 which is Platinum Beige. It is also known as mushroom. This interior color was unique to 1995 only. There is a sticker behind the passenger rear quarter panel that contains the option codes for your vehicle. Pull back the trunk liner on the passenger side. Confirm that the VIN on the sticker matches your vehicle. There might be a build sheet in the bottom of the spare tire well that contains the same information. Check the sticker or build sheet for paint codes 72 Ruby Red Metallic or 77 Dark Cherry Metallic to confirm which touchup to buy.

| I don't think the black works unless you have black somewhere else to tie it together. Sorry bro, not feelin' it. I know beigh is hard to keep clean, but I think the mats need to match the carpet. Dat's just my opinion. | |
