| Light Kiwi Pearl Clearcoat from a 1996 Dodge Ram
I've had some real luck choosing colors from the Ram choices. I originally wanted to paint it the color of the new Mustang's Legend Lime but it wasn't availible at that time. In a side by side comparison I'm glad I chose the Ram green, it fit the car well. Surprsingly there is a similar color availible for the first gens.
If any of you get the option to paint the skirt things on the side like mine, go for it, I love the effect.

| It was a pleasant surprise for me too when I got to see it for the first time curring in the paint booth. The logos were gone, I was freaked out by that but they were safely in the glove compartment, the side skirts were another thing I didn't request but were an executive decision by the painter. Well it did come out good.
As for the front and back lower things, no, they're not painted. I tried fooling around with photoshop just to see what it would look like and it was too much of one color.

| How has the paint on those side mouldings held up? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| to be honest with you, surprisingly well. After a couple of you guys voiced your concerns about that I've been keeping and eye on them.
the whole car actually got 2 coats of paint, the first time around the guy wasn't impressed so he sprayed it further, drawback to that, it took wicked long to cure.
I would tell the guy who's doing it to prep the skirts in some way, either roughing them up or appyling some sort of adherent. I lucked out, my painter was very "self-directed" and even though some of the things he did came as a bewilderment to me, I've learned to love and appreciate his vision.

| i dont know if it will work on painted surfaces but Back-to-Black by meguires (i think, but it could be mothers) helps keep the plastic shiny and rich looking. it works the best on the rear piece ; the sides soak it up fast and look dull in a week or 2. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | Yeah, I swear by that stuff. Use a bristle brush to apply (not for the side mouldings of the Racera!). _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| i use a wax app. pad then buff it with a micro cloth or paper towel. also if your out of time to do a full detail with that stuff, a spray btl of interior plastic cleaner will make it look good for the duration of the show. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | Just be careful if you get the plastic parts painted to make sure whoever is doing it knows what they are doing.
When i had to get a new front bumper, they painted the plastic part underneath. within a week it was peeling.
a few weeks later i just took a pressure washer to it and blew all the paint off, and now it looks exactly as it did before they painted it.
Im sure there is a way to prep the plastic surfaces properly and make it work, but if they just spray paint on it, it wont stick. I know the paint was fine, because all the paint on the bumper has stayed perfect.

| I was going to put it in a car show this past summer but never got around to it. Well I should have cause it needs a good cleaning now and that butthole driver hit me on my commute to work, nothing really bad but my bumper has some rubbery black stuff on it now. I'll have to 'clean' it off when I get a chance. Since it's totally stock cept the paint job I feel weird putting in any show, but there are many fans out there. And I am proud of my little supermodel. | |

| I think it's show worthy. I wish everyone wasn't so spread out over the country. It would be cool to have a show, cruise, group get together...something. | |

| Mater was hitting on her I parked in a train parking lot and got on the train. I made sure it was in the lines and payed the $2 parking fee. I get off the train to find my car gone . I was freaked, thought someone stole it. Come to find out that specific town required all parked cars to have a parking permit sticker from the town hall. I didn't even live in that town how was I supposed to know their stupid rules. I later found out there were signes posted but never had enough time to stop and stroll the parking lot....the train was alway just there at that moment. I learned Framingham sucks $200 in cash to get it out of the pound, plus a $20 parking violation on top of that. Look on my windshield :flames: Yeah I was feeln' the hate that day. :verymad: | |

| I told the guy $200 a little steep, they took it out of the parking lot only a half an hour before I arived. I asked him when he opened the gate if I could get a buy-one-get-one deal on the cars. I forgot what have possible caught my attention but I said, "I'll take that bright green one and ah...let's see, yeah that white one over there too. The sticker mark is still on my windshield, hasn't been warm enough to get out there and use some GooGone on it. | |
