| Hey whats up my name is tyler lewis out of Tulsa, Ok. i have a black 97 riv 3800 series II supercharged. the mods are autolite 104(s), gutted and heat wrapped airbox, k&n filter, removed engine cover, 180 thermostat, and aluminum 3.3 pulley, running "0%" KR. i hope to have a pic up soon not that it is anything special. it's cool that i found you guys i am sick of mooching off of Regalgs.org and other sites that totally ignore the Riv as an l67/M90 car. i hope we can all help one another and you have already helped me. thanks | |

| Welcome to the board! Nice not to have to wade thru the Regal stuff, isn't it? No KR at all? That's surprising with your mods and a 3.3 pulley. | |

| welcome! 0KR is surprising with all that boost of the 3.3, but not imposible. i only had a little spike of 2* with a 3.4 and the same mods. how many miles on that 97? _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | actually the car has 170,000mi, but runs good with no problems, however; until i free up my exhaust i am not seeing the power i should at low end. top end it is great, in order not to tear it up i have to fight myself to keep my foot out of it. i won't be happy till i can take the local GTP pontiacs, (one in particular). so any advice is very helpful, i have sent in my riv owners club registration so that i can hang with local guys who know more than me. i just got the riv, i am mostly into auto cross in my 91 vette or drifting in my 91 miata, but the local law has drained me so i needed something a little core "inconspicuous" if you will. i am an avid car enthusiast and want to fully understand tuning and programing, and i have found the riv to be the perfect guinea pig. | |

freeing up your exhaust will move the torque curve higher in the RPM range... Essentially, your low end would slightly suffer, but you'd gain in the top end. The riviera's stock exhaust is nothing to write home about welcome to the forum

Imo, it's not that bad. Still running mine stock from headers back. You will see much bigger improvements focusing on intake/motor mods vs. exhaust system. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^
