| Here are the photos of my 99 Riviera. It has every option except chrome wheels. I love this car! Front quarter Side Rear Quarter Engine is stock with K&N filter. I painted the S/C acoustic cover. View of trunk showing that I still have room to put my clubs in lengthwise. Better view of the Alpine MRV-450 5ch amp and 10" Alpine "S" sub. Different angle showing how it takes up minimal space in the trunk. Short wire run to the battery. I designed the layout and the installer made the box. Alpine CDA-9857 Head Unit. Steering wheel kit and iPod cable installed. I held off on changing from the OEM head unit because I did not know how it would look due the size. The dash kit worked out well and provides space to put 3 CDs. However, I really do not listen to CDs much because of ........ The 8GB iPod Nano has over 1200 songs on it so far and is a really easy to use since the head unit controls it. When it is plugged it the display says "Alpine." I just joined and would appreciate your feedback. I will be discussing the stereo ( I am still not totally happy), how to get better mileage ( I want more mpg) and other things. Thanks for the info on posting pics. I hope they display! | |

| As I recall, it is color code 028. There is some confusion on the actual name. I wll have to look that up. It is a navy blue metallic.
I polished off the original painted pinstripe after years of polishing and waxing. Later, I totally screwed up when trying to get pine sap off the front. The sap had hardened and would not come off with regular polish. I was at a wash bay and someone had left a 3M scotchbrite pad. I tried it out on one of the places. Since the car was wet, I did not notice that I was scratching the clear coat. When I dried it off, I got physically ill. I ended up taking it to a body shop who did a three stage power polish. It took what little was left of the pinstripe. The body shop suggested getting a tape stripe. I selected a silver flake single pin stripe and applied it in about an hour. It actually looks much better than the photos.

| Very Nice. First one I've seen sporting those colors. She looks show worthy! Awesome shine, what wax do you use? You ought to try Zaino if you haven't, you'd love it. A golfer too, I see. Another reason I love our cars, perfect for carring the sticks. | |

| I have never seen this color on another car in person. I have seen it in a few autotrader listings. I did not think that it would be that rare when I bought it.
Michelin Energy MXV4+. The tires are a "+0" size 235/60-16 instead of the stock 225. Very quiet and smooth with good wet weather performance. This is the second set that I have put on this car. Based on the first set and the wear on the current set, I get 60k-70k miles. They are not cheap. I really like these tires but may consider the Michelin HydroEdge because they are supposed to be as good and have better wet perforance with a cooler tread pattern. A few bucks less expensive as well.
I have heard of Zaino. I try different waxes as often as my wife buys shoes so I'll look for it. I have tried zymol, Mothers, and currently the McGuiers 3 step system. About twice a year I use a clay bar on it. I only wax it about every other month but I use a detailer spray every week.

| No, I did not do the install. I have more money than skill. That does not mean that I am wealthy but rather I have zero skill!
As this has been done in stages, several shops have participated with varying degrees of skill.

| Very sharp Riv. Love the color. I can't get my cart bag in my trunk that way. I just got a $800 set of Ping G2 irons off Ebay for $380 last week, and just returned from Boyne Mountain,Mi golfing vacation. Good to see you've got tunes too. Keep Rivs alive!!!!!!! | |
