| L32 block is basically the same. few small changes like a different starter IIRC. The big difference is the gen V supercharger that is used vs our gen 3 blower. You can pick up a gen V for about $500 with all the necessary stuff to put it on the riv. (minus the tune) the benefit is more power due to a more efficient blower, so if you have the money and ability to tune the car then i say go for it! however it is much easier to swap just the S/C's rather than the entire motor, unless yours isnt running. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | naw its running but my riv got about 225k on it and i figured it wouldnt last much longer, and the total swap would be cost efficient seeing that the engine has only 55k and it comes supercharged as well...
Also how much should just a Gen V SC be?
here is the website where i found the actual engines for sale

| As Mr. Riviera said above you can find a used Gen 5 supercharger and L32 intake manifold used sometimes for $500.00-$600.00 but you have to be looking otherwise I've seen some people ask a lot more and that's just SC and Manifold. If you can get a low mile L32 complete with SC for under a $1000.00 delivered, I'd say grab it and do the swap. | |

I agree. Even If you don't feel like doing the whole swap right away, you can keep the motor around. How's the transmission with those miles? Has it been replaced or rebuilt yet? | |

| You need to do a lot more reading on here Devlin. Go to the "Write Ups" section to start. There is someone on here currently doing the L32 engine with a Gen V SC swap. Follow his thread for a while and you'll get an idea what you are getting into. Also, If you can get that engine you talked about with the supercharger complete delivered to you for under a $1000.00, you will save a lot of money, time and aggravation in my opinion. | |
