| Yes, this happens to almost everyone. I haven't "fixed" mine yet, but I notice if I bang that cross section between the climate control and cdplayer it stops acting up. Mine will reject discs now and then and skip very easy. But this isnt a solution. This is:
Some say they fix this with one of those lens cleaning kits. Its basically a CD with a little brush on it. You put this cleaning angent on it and insert. As it spins the brush cleanses the laser lens. I havent tried it yet but it works for others. | |

| Yes. I assume E means error and these numbers relate to a specific problem. I don't think anyone knows exactly what they mean tho. I have got 20, 21, 22, and 13. I know codes in the 20 range have to do with the CD player, or thats my theory anyway. 10 range is the tapedeck, it shows 13 because my eject mechanism is broken. I always enjoy beating it myself. ... | |

| Jen, I had the exact same problems as you after about 3 years of use. I tried cleaning, but in my case it didn't help. I ended up buying a lightly used (prob refurbished) model online for $120. Have been fine for about a year now. I really like the stock head when it works. It's worth the price paid if it works for another 2-3 years... Maybe I'll get better mileage out of this one. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Mine will play a CD for about 1 minute, then it gives me and error code 23. This happens with CDs that I have made, I haven't tried a store bought CD yet. | |

| I live in FL so I don't have a 'too cold' problem, however.... My CD player plays just fine, except when I want to change CDs... Lately its been refusing to eject, the button does nothing! Than one night arriving home I turn my head lights off, and the damn CD finally ejects! It was odd but cool I got the CD out, and more recently the head light trick doesn't work either... I assume some wires got crossed, but anyone got any ideas how to fix it? | |
