| I have finally started the motor swap in the riv.. I have a quick question. Do bolts go through the flexplate to the converter? Only reason i ask, is because there were not any bolts in it when i removed it.. and i know for sure that the engine has been out of the car before. if so, where do i find these things? | |

| I would try and get them from my GM dealer. Only because I don't know what grade of bolt they are and they do have to have a high shear strength. And they usually have a different head on the bolt than just a regular bolt would have. Or you could try a transmission shop or a speed shop. But I'll bet the local dealer can get them for you as well.

| They are a special bolt, they have a slim head to clear the block. A hardware store bolt won't be correct even if you get the right thread. They should be very inexpensive from a GM dealer, even less from a junkyard. BillBoost37 may have extras... | |
