| Yup that about sums up my response when I hit the gas. I cant believe about 30 minutes of work would yeild that much power. This mod is incredible if you have not done it yet...WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!! Now whats next? The car seems to perform fine no knock or anything to be concerned about. (I experienced a loss in fuel mileage but I just cant keep my foot out of the gas....its too much fun.) Tomorrow night will be the first time at the drag strip since the pulley swap. My best previous run has been 14.6. Ill deffinately keep everyone updated on how my runs go. | |

| Congrats on the pulley! You've got a bit more torque now, which should give a better 1/4 mile, but makes launching the car a bit more challenging.
Just curious, when you say "no knock", are you saying your scans show zero KR at all times, or is this just your opinion? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| 0 - KR on the scanner.
Im sure its just the cool weather. But Im sure it wont get that bad in the summer months. Would my low altitude also contribute to low KR?

| Low altitude makes KR go up, so you're doing well if it's zero. Did you scan at WOT up to 100 mph or so? Was your engine up to operating temp? I'd say a 3.3" would be a good next step... _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Try this: rolling at 45, drop the hammer. See if any thing shows up. I usually don't see any knock in 1st. It's not till the mid/top of 2nd (80+ mph... 5000+RPM) that I get KR. You gotta worry about that stuff when you're going to the track. Take the scanner with you if you can.
Do you remember your coolant temps? KR doesn't register until 158ºF and above.
If it turns out you've got zero KR, that's awesome, man. You appear to have a real freak on your hands... Might be time to step down to 3.3"!!! _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| The car was running at operating temperature (180-190) Ill see if I can rent the scanner over night. How much KR are you running with your setup? | |

| Under 0-2º KR with 3.4" pulley, under 3-5º with 3.2". I'm working on that though. Hope to tune it out real soon.
It seems you may be in the clear. You'll do well at the track if that's the case. If you can rent the scanner, try and see what your MAP, LTFT, and O2 values are doing. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| Check FAQ on pulley puller. It takes around 6 tons of force while regular pullers have about 3.
Its just as hard explaining to people that the s/c needs a special puller as it is to explain why s/c rivieras need premium fuel only. Don't think you are the first to be skeptical of a 100 dollar puller. You will only end up messing your s/c up.
Sorry for the semi rant but it makes me mad how stubborn people can be on these subjects.
Puller can be bought at ZZP online store.

Close...I would do what Jack Bauer would do, plug your phone in and yell. "cloe give me some HP!!" Works every time, except when those damn ruskies jam the signal.
