| Hi guys! Does anyone know if a 1996 supercharged block an heads will work with a 1995 supercharged intake and supercharger. I blew the motor in my 95 and a junk yard said that they have 96 block and heads. They also said that my intake will work, and would have to use the 95 flywheel. Both motors are supercharged. Thanks for some help. | |

| In a word, no.
The 95 is a series one, with a taller deck, and the exhaust ports are not evenly spaced. In short, almost nothing(especially the heads and block) can exchange between them. The junkyard is DEAD WRONG. _________________

| Only problem with the '95 engines is just that....they '95! It'd be sweet to put a Series II in there but you'd be lookin at a NIGHTMARE. You would have to change EVERYTHING, including wiring harnesses and control modules. This is off-topic, but I wish other states had Parts-Galore. I absolutely LOVE that place. They turn over 2000 cars a week. Every car is up off the ground and seperated by make. NO parts on the ground, and NO fluid spills (pans with kitty litter catchin em all). It costs $1 to get in and look around. Bring ur own tools and take off whatever you need. Pay when you leave, and they offer warranties! Maybe I'll go this weekend and look around. They got TONS of older Bonne's and such with Series I engines. (I'll take some pics too!) | |

Must be nice to live in Michigan when it comes to parts sourcing!

There was / is a place just like that in San Antonio that i went to occasionally. Don't know if they moved 2'000 per week, but the setup was the same. Made it real easy to get want you needed in the heat of the summer without friggin around in the dirt. Don't have anything like that around here that i know of. But I haven't been to a junk yard since i left Texas. Have gotten lazy and now just buy new or order used from the junk yards. No more Pick 'n' Pull for me. Derek, what's that nationwide site you always mention.??? He could look there for a 1995 SC complete engine for reasonable money.??? Is it www.car-part.com - YES IT IS. Just looked, give it a try if you haven't already. Good Luck. Heck, I just did a query on upstate new york, don't know your zip code or town but the list of SC Vin #1 engine's was pretty long. You may have to travel a little ways or pay a shipping fee but there are a shit load of them out there.

| ATK engines offer a long block for both the series 1, and series 2. Unfortunately I can't get the series III yet. If your looking for a good engine that rebuilt and backed by warranty thats a good place to call since gopher is no more.
www.atk-engines.com 1-800-421-3746 toll free.
Unfortunately they don't sell direct. You must have a shop order you 1 but if you know a guy that knows a guy it will help immensely.
