| I noticed today for the first time, that when I have the car running in PARK there is an intermittent vibrating sound, like a horn or something coming from the front of the car. It doesnt do it in DRIVE or any other gears, but its loud and annoying. Its like a horn, or almost like the sound the leveling sytem makes from the rear, but its coming from up front. Any idea what it could be? | |

| Mine made a weird noise like that for a while. Almost like a cricket sound only when in Park. Turns out the brake lines underneath the air intake box were touching ever so slightly causing the insane noise. I split a rubber hose and put it over the lines.....problem solved. Hope this helps.... | |

| Found out what it was earlier. Its the traction control unit making the noise. I popped the hood with the car running and just waited for it. Its coming from the unit directly at the front drivers side of the car. I hit the TC button and turned it off, and no more problems. | |

| Typical - We either get warning lights with no symptoms, or symptoms with no warning lights... | |

| Wow...that's odd lol. The traction control unit is the ABS pump, which is right where my noise was coming from. As I stated, just "rubberized" the lines and the noise went away. | |

| I'm going to try that first then and see if theres any difference. If not, I hope its not too hard to swap the units out | |

| I wonder if the root cause of this problem is worn motor mounts, which would let the engine vibrate further than designed at idle (the only thing keeping the 231 v6 out of Massage Chair Motor class is that balance shaft and even then...)

| No there are no lights on, but when I turn TC off, theres no more sporadic sounds. Saturday morning I heard it when I had the TC on, so I pulled over and popped the hood, and after a few minutes thats when I heard it come directly from the traction module. | |
