| Well on my recent trip to Vermont I found out the hard way that the previous owner did not have the right spare for the car in the trunk despite it looking identical.
With that said I need to find the correct compact spare tire for the Riv and apparently no junk yards in the area have one. I also need the factory jack to go with it.
What other GM models use the same spare and jack that will work with the Riv and fit in the factory location in the trunk. I'd like to get it asap in case something happens again.
Thanks! | |

| That kind of question can best be answered by the Junk Yards. They have the interchange books. Did you ask them when you called looking for a Riv Spare.?
Try MORADS | |

| Hmm, ok. Nope, didn't think to ask.
I also just had an idea about using an online cross reference system. I didn't think of that before.
I'd try Morads but I'm trying to avoid shipping something that heavy and big. I would have just went the Ebay route but figured a local place would be cheaper.

A local pick-and-pull might be cheapest, you need either a hollander interchange number for the parts or a yard that is patient enough to let you take pulls out to your car to try fitting them. What do you think you will do? Albertj

Thanks for the link but I wasn't looking to spend that much on a spare let alone that price plus shipping. I know junkyards practically give these things away.

| My bad, I thought that was a steal at almost 50% off. Can't even buy a year of AAA coverage for $57. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Oh no worries! For a brand new one that is a steal. Last resort I'll look into that. | |
