Hello from Montana. We own an '96 supercharged, 156,000 miles. Been a great car, but lately some issues have been cropping up, which lead me to this forum. Looking forward to finding the answers from the knowledgeable folks here.
Regards, Rick

Body looks to be in very good condition, especially considering you're in Montana! Those white streaks on the plastic bottom cladding could be from wax, as that happened to my Riv in one spot when my wax pad slipped over it. Couldn't ever clean it out.

IBx1, going to have to deal with those streaks one day. Actually, Montana isn't too hard on our vehicles. If we get rust, it is due to some major neglect, like not washing a years' worth of mud off, etc. The only thing that is an issue is the Magnesium chloride they use on the roads in the winter. Not really an issue with the sheet metal, but really hard on wheels. The biggest issue around my area is dodging the wildlife. Can't see it in the pics, but the Riv does have a few parking lot dings, nothing major, just annoying.
Regards

I'd be worried about damaging the finish on the already delicate paint with harsh chemicals like acetone.

its just your standard wax wash that you can buy at a good autobody store.as far as i know its the only place you can get it. i have wax wash for furniture and it isnt the same.the auto stuff contains isopropyl alcohol.i guess it makes a difference? the auto stuff dries quicker too. it aint cheap.$36 a gallon. if you buy, conserve it. and dont let your friends use it. these days it pays to be stingy....
