I'm not quite sure what you are saying. So your coupler is ratteling... Just take of the belt and see if there is play in the pulley when you twist it. That will be a definite answer for if this sound is the coupler or not.

As for your tranny problem... Did you check your fluid level? My bonnie would act like it was in neutral when the fluid got real low. And yes this car still runs and it would do this once a month. I would step on the gas and the engine would rev but I really wouldnt go anywhere. It was like half in neutral, half not. This descrbe your problem?. This would stop when the car got warm, does your problem subside? Or is it consistent thru out the whole trip? Eventually the bonnie would run out of fluid and not move lol. I am pretty sure this tranny was also the 4t60e too.

Other than that it could be the torque converter clutch (TCC). Thats pretty costly.

I don't know trannies all that well, maybe someone else can help out.

Ya i checked my fluid i was down a bottle go fig seeing theres no leak marks on my driveway. Ya that sounds like it i would hit it the engine would wine alittle but there would be no tire movment . Hasnt done it in anything but od and ya im hoping its not the tcc. But it hasnt done it for 4 days now so maybe it was just the bottle low thing .
