| Need some quick help.......... Rather than go blindly into the under dash, can someone tell me a quick/easy way to find this jewel. It's VERY eratic and sometimes fails to flash the turn signals in either direction. Thanks | |

Thanks After removing the lower dash trim panel (a few screws just under the lower dash, beneath the instrument panel) look up (you may need flashlight) and you will see a flasher for the turn signals and another for the emergency flashers. You may want to turn on the emergency flashers - they will click and the noise will make the "can" easier to find. The flasher relay should be held in a little metal clip on the steering column support. They are $8 to $16 each at an auto parts store **or** at a GM dealer.

The later GMs use electronic flashers or integrate the flasher into the body control computer. The last-gen Riv still used the thermal relay can. It can be replaced with a standard or HD electronic flasher. Or another thermal flasher. Cheap way out is to snag a few flashers (Buss 552) from a junkyard.
