| Plog ordered. Used my $50 cat credit and $5 account credit so it came out to just under $100 shipped. For what I want to do it just makes sense, plus headers are only ~10hp better at most than a plog/dp setup. Not worth the hassle IMO. Worst case scenario I just sell it and make money. | |

| Got 4 255/35/18 Direzzas for autocross. Also got 4 225/50/16 Azenis. Do you guys think I would be better off running the Direzzas in the front and Azenis in the rear, or my 235/45/18 LS2s in the rear?

Even if the waste of oxygen did leave a note, it probably would've said "sorry I hit your car".

| Chrome trim ripped off today while I was driving. My friend thought he saw something, but when we looked we didn't see anything behind us. Then I got home and it was gone. Decided to rip off the other side too for conformity, and since it was only held on by maybe half of it's clips it was doomed anyways.... | |

| Your headlights look exactly like mine do. I keep meaning to get around and sand and polish them out. | |

They used to be a lot worse. Gave them a light sanding and wax a little over a year ago. They could probably use the treatment again.

| Getting ready to buy a new tranny and have it dropped in. Anything I should have done to the tranny before it goes in? I was thinking shift kit, solenoids, and torque converter... The goal is to get in and out for around 1k. I really don't feel comfortable swapping the trannys (even though i'm sure I could). Here's my estimated price list:
Tranny: $350 Labor; 5 hours @ $65/hour from the trusted mechanic up the street: $325 Shift kit: $60 Solenoids, fluid, filter, torque converter, etc: $465 Total: $1200
Any advice, corrections, or comments from someone who has done this/had it done?

| Transgo jr shiftkit. Also there are a whole bunch of sonnex parts that make a big difference. Check out the 60degv6 forums for the best 4t60e mods if you are doing one up. _________________ | |

5 HOURS???? I was just going off of BillBoosts estimated times...... Take it they're a bit optimistic? - BillBoost37 wrote:

Most people find an engine or trans swap, first time around will take 6-8 hours. So I figured since he said first time, somebody who has done it before could do it in a little less time....

| Well, they don't like to make money apparently. This is from my Warranty Labor time guide. Add 1.5hrs for alignment (or ~$60).....mind you, these are warranty rates, NOT customer pay. So, if they're charging you 5 hours, something is missing IMO. _______________________________________________________________ Includes: Base time includes: Flow checking the cooler and cooler/line flushing. Note: Disassemble, inspect and reassemble add time to be used as needed when it has been determined that the cost of overhaul exceeds the cost of replacement. Note: For steering wheel angle and/or front toe adjustment times, refer to labor code 8070012 and add the applicable base times to base labor hours. Engine Code C LABOR TIME: 5.2 Except Engine Code C LABOR TIME: 5.3 To Bleed Power Steering System ADD TIME: 0.7 To Disassemble, Inspect, Determine Repair ADD TIME: 0.0-1.5 | |

| Alright then. Still worth it IMO unless I can find another Rivi with a solid engine, trans, and body for that price and just swap everything over. | |
