Hey guys!

I just bought a '95 Supercharged Riviera. Light blue with a dark blue interior. 98,500 miles.

What it needs:
-Exhaust Flange gasket.
-Valve Cover Gasket (the one closest to the firewall; seeps oil onto the exhaust manifold.)
-Check Engine Light turned off.
-Seems slightly sluggish...My LeSabre is just as fast if not faster...something up with the supercharger? hmm...
-The other day, the car ran 50 miles. I shut it off and couldn't get it to start until a little later. No issues since.

Otherwise, the body is in great shape, interior is pretty nice. Engine compartment is clean.

Welcome Shawn! Have you scanned it to see what the code says? It could help you discover what is causing it to run a bit funny.

Thanks guys!

Good to see a familiar name Z-Type!

GMANN- I wish I had a moonroof that WORKS! Mine drops down, but won't go back and won't go back into the "Up" position to seal. I have to use my hands to get it into place.

I'll be posting some of the issues as I tackle them. First will be getting the car inspected, so I'll be fixing the exhaust flange gasket soon.

To get the Check Engine light off, I need to find someone with the right OBD connector/ reader. A friend works for GM and I think he has one, so maybe this weekend(?) I might be able to get it fixed.

Just hoping I haven't walked into owning a lemon or a bad year. From the sound of it, '95's are the least popular year...frown

Actually, '95 was the most popular year for 8th gen Rivieras. There were more than twice as many '95s compared to any other year. Congrats, and welcome!

Is that a Lesabre T-type in the background? I love those cars!

68GSColorado- Yes, it is a LeSabre T-Type. She's an '88 w/ 207,000 miles. I've had her for 12 years and she's finally showing her age. I have a few spots under her that need welding before I can get her inspected. She has the '89 Black leather seats, but came with the '88 Black velour seats. I also have the '87 GN style seats in storage.
I've owned 3 of these, one of every year, but the '87 and '89 were both maroon and eventually parted out.
I had the original "T-Type" emblems gold plated, and also added a '86 Regal "T-Type" grille emblem and a FlowMaster Single in, Dual Out 80-series muffler from a Camaro.
I wanted to fix this instead of buying a car, but a car was a necessity and the Z24 had to go. That's when I found the Riviera. I always wanted a Supercharged car. Now I have a Non-aspirated, a Turbo-car ('83 Regal T-Type under the car cover in the background) and a Supercharged car. ALL BUICKS!

No not too many. I saw a white one on the second day of having mine, but I also spend more time in Boston and there are very few there.
