Don't take this the wrong way, what you made looks nice and the SC has a great sound through it. I like that you kept the OE intake tube.
But it isn't a CAI. It's an HAI. It's air supply draws right from the engine compartment where the hot air is. It's much more difficult to make an intake draw from outside the engine compartment.

Right underneath where the filter is,is a hole that you can enlarge. Build yourself a box around the filter and have a length of 4"hose piped to the front of the car. Then it will be a CAI.but not bad.looks ok

I know that I need to get the engine heat away from the intake, but thanks for informing me! I'll probably end up bending some stainless sheet metal and making my own shroud. A work in progress, but I believe a step in the right direction!

Yup! a shroud is easy enough.Where the filter is on your ride its sucking all the hot air dispelled by the fans.

I noticed that when I was testing everything out today. I have a 180 degree thermostat and during stop and go traffic the engine temp was around 200-210. I'm sure after I do a little fab work and get a shroud made that issue will disappear. I'll make sure to get another video or pictures up after I get the issues smoothed out! Thanks again for the input!
