| Looking to spend a couple of hundred dollars on a radio with a CD player and a USB port. Does any one know if their is anything in that price range that will work with the steering wheel controls on a 95? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've learned a whole lot about this car from the message boards and they've helped me tremendously on the work I've done to the vehicle so far. Thanks. | |

| Call Crutchfield (http://www.crutchfield.com) - there is a device you buy that plugs into the car's wiring harness that makes the SW controls work with certain cars. Their techs will tell you all about how to get to it as a DIY project.
Probably the reason you got no answers to your post until now is this (call to Crutchfield) is a pretty obvious call to make.

I don't know. Might be able to get your hands on a service manual and track the wiring.

| If the radio you are looking at does not have the steering wheel controls, Crutchfield should have the proper connectors that you would need to make it work. | |

| If you don't install a steering wheel control adapter, the HVAC buttons will NOT work. From the factory they go through the radio. The aftermarket radio you are considering must have a remote input of some kind, and the device most commonly used is the PAC-SWI. The SWI-X is 'universal'. The SWI-PS is for Pioneer and Sony systems. The SWI-JACK is for JVC, Alpine, Clarion, Kenwood, etc. Check out the PAC Audio website. SWI stands for Steering Wheel Interface. | |
