is this a joke? she's kinky and jerks you when you're on the gas? mine never does that to me! well..be that as it may,in addition to checking the plug and wire I would check the conditionof the intank fuel filter.it might be allowing junk from the tank to get into and momentarily clog up. if you have a 95 and never changed the pump, I would say the filter most likely has a tear in it anyway being that old. mine was torn to shit.jus sayin

| On the outside chance of a problem - check if your brakes (front and rear) are dragging adn check the condition of your transmission fluid. | |

Good fluid will be clear reddish color. Just open a container and you will see what the color should be, and what it should smell like. Bad fluid will be dark brown, and smell burned. If you rub some between your index finger and thumb, it may even be gritty. At that point though, you are usually looking at a rebuild. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

| It's a light reddish color kinda seems thin my friend agreed with me don't smell burned not gritty. I thought it looked a little watery don't know if possible. But I can run any speed fine on flat surface. Only on hills 40-55mph it shutters or jerks and I let off gas stops jerking. Give it more gas sometimesworks | |

What happens if you lay into it at 40 MPH on a level highway? _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

| I'd test my fuel pressure and monitor it with a gauge while driving. If that was fine, I'd replace the plugs and wires. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

Light reddish = burned a bit, most all transmission fluid is medium to dark red - if you get a small bottle of it (Dexron III or Dexron VI) and compare you'll see, hard to describe. Pale red, some would call it pink, is potentially a problem, and is a telltale sign of worn fluid. That said I'll try asking this again - are your brakes dragging? If you answered before I'm sorry, I missed your answer. To check you have to drive the car normal stop and go for several miles then put it on a lift, in neutral, fairly quickly - spin the front tire. There is a spec in the service manual for how much force should be needed (you have a service manual right?) and anything above that you should suspect dragging brakes. Actually, you should strongly suspect dragging brakes if you get the car on that lift (again, in neutral) and turn a wheel, you may well be able to hear/feel the brakes drag. The reason dragging brakes are important - if your brakes drag enough the electronic transmission thinks you are going uphill and unlocks the torque converter. Unlocked, the car speeds up somewhat, it relocks. And with brakes still dragging, the computer runs the unlock cycle again. Car speeds up a little, TC locks back up. This can repeat more than once a second if conditions are right. Point is that after whacking like this for a while, the TC clutch burns up and/or the TC will overheat and "grenade."

Did you remove and inspect the plugs already?

There are good instructions elsewhere on this site for the plug replacement, use the 'search" function they are not hidden.

| Fear not! With car in park, have someone push the car forward and set the parking brake with the motor tilted. Access through passenger side will allow you to reach back there and get all of them without having to go through the bottom of the car. Your hands may get scraped a little but way better than a 3 foot extension from underneath the car. | |
