How hard would it be to swap my front wheel drive 3800 into a rear wheel drive 1970 Datsun 510/240/260/280Z?

Interesting thought. I was thinking earier in the week what it would be like to put an engine in the rear of our cars since our trunk area is so large...like something Italian. happy

Swapping the engine into a Fiero is the most common. There is a lot of info out on how to do it. L67swap.com recently changed to this:

im sure its been done into a datsun, but yes, the fiero swap is common, but to find a nice 88 GT is at least $3000 (in most cases) from what ive seen.

You'll need the transmission from a 3800 Camero, and you'll have to fab up some type of TB adaptop so that your TP dosen't stick through the firewall.
