| My engine is currently torn down to the block.
The good news is, no chipped pistons!
Now I'm wondering, can I reuse my aluminum LIM gaskets? And can I reuse my exhaust manifold gaskets? They are the double layer metal type ones.
Obviously I'm doing new head gaskets and head bolts. I just don't want to spend more money than I have to!

| Yes and yes. Be sure to check the LIM gaskets VERY thoroughly. Inspect every single bit of rubber on both sides of those things for any rips or tears. If you see any hint of a tear, replace them.
As for the exhaust gaskets, absolutely re-use them. Those things never go bad. | |

| Honestly if you can afford the time and the money just do them. I know they'll probably be just fine like Abaddon said, but why take the risk? A little bit of money to possibly save you a lot of time and money later on. Just my logic. Might as well do all of the hard to reach sensors while you're in there and have the room too. | |

| After a full engine teardown/rebuild, it would really suck to have to do either of those gaskets again. Be cheap in other places. Don't skip such critical components. At least on the LIM gaskets. The exhaust gaskets aren't so bad to replace it you had to. The LIM gaskets - don't skip them please. | |

| I reused them. The lim gaskets looked absolutely brand new, and I didn't really see how the exhaust gaskets could go bad. All seems good. | |
