Any ideas on how to repair/replace Turn Signal Switch without spending $200-$400 for a new one?

get a good one from a junkyard, although it may take some hunting to find it. Should be $100 or less, maybe much less depending on who you're dealing with.

I lucked out and got an NOS one on eBay for my 98 a few years ago, for $50. I think dealer still had them for nearly $400, if not more. Crazy price... but it's a complicated piece.

I just replaced mine with one from Ed Morad. I was surprised - it looks identical but feels very different (and works *perfectly* - the old one worked but did not do the tilt-to-pass function at all, this one does).

Albert,
do you know what year that it is from?
My 96 will not tilt either, it is "click on" or "click off".
Surprised your 98 wasn't that way.
It has always annoyed me.
Easy job?..

This is where the turn signal lever can be moved just part way in either direction, not all the way to locked left or right. Then you release and your light will blink typically 3 times, enough for a lane change. Not enough for normal turns. My 98 had this, odd that Albert's did not.
