| The other day after I got my tire fixed, I found this product called Slime and it's supposed to keep your tire safe for 2 years. I bought it and I haven't install it in yet to my tires. I wanted to hear your guys opinion if the product is any good to install it in the tires anyway. Thank you for the help. | |

| I've used it on bike tires and on our lawn mower. Works pretty well, but we used it after the holes were there. | |

| It came in my bike tires - they leak the same as my wife's '71 Schwinn. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| It works, but the next time you have to replace a tire, you'll get charged out the wazoo for cleaning up the mess it leaves on the wheels. Buy some good tires and don't worry about this petty stuff, use it only to get your car to a tire store in an extreme emergency - like when your spare is also flat.
Your life is riding on it - literally and figuratively . | |

| I wouldn't bother. By the time you need to use it it'll all be stuck in the rim and wheel. Like Ed says, some places even charge for cleaning up the gooey mess later. | |

| Just a word of caution. It may slowly eat/pit the inside of your wheels.

A few years ago I had all four of my tires dismounted from my wheels (factory chrome 7 spoke) due to leaking tires. I did the worst leaking tire/wheel first. It was severely pitted on the inside of the wheel (three localized areas). Closer inspection reveled it was caused by a green tire sealing substance. I did cleanup and repair it though with some high strength epoxy. The other three wheels had some pitting damage, but not nearly as bad. I have never put anything but air into my tires. The previous owners are most likely to blame for my wheel pitting issue.

| Water will cause the same issue, probably an even worse case. Water can enter the tires from an air compressor tank that isn't properly drained. Most gas station air hoses will pump quite a bit of water out of the hose. Not sure if the green stuff is as bad. You'd think they would have considered it? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I agree with Grimes. The chrome will Peel off on the inside and possibly cause a slow air leak. Go to the tire shop | |
