| Hello again 95 buick riv supercharged i about a week ago I took my car to the dealer he pulled the codes for me and came up with p0705 and then took it to my mechanic he pointed out the trans range switch wich is the netural saftey switch I had him replace it at a cost of almost 350 dollars got my car back it seemed to run just fine and now the same code keeps coming up idk what to do when the check engine light comes on I put it in gear and it acts like the trans is slipping really bad it don't hardley want to pull itsself ill pull over put it back into park shut the engine off start it again and the light will go out any ideas thanks everyone | |

Take it back to the dealer, GM has a basic warranty on repairs. | |

| He said he took it to the dealer to be scanned, then to HIS mechanic to be repaired. They aren't going to warranty a code scan Sounds like there might be a wiring problem or something else going on. A code scan will point you in the direction of the problem, not fix it. Most of the time, it's a hard part or sensor that the code is pointing to. The rest of the time isn't so easy. That's why most shops charge a 1 hour diagnosis fee on trouble lights (SES, ABS, SRS , etc). Maybe go back to the dealer, pay them an hour, and have it diagnosed? Although, if you do that, then have your mechanic repair it, and it fails again, you'd still be up shits creek on a warranty..... Could be a faulty sensor again? It's happened before. | |
