I've been out side tinkering(do we ever stop lol) and looking at the air filter box to intake area we have that big hollow box. So my question is has anyone deleted that box for a straight tube and if so did you see a performance increase or decrease. Seems to me coming from an amt background that it would destabilize the air acting to somewhat restrict flow. Tho i do understand that some systems need a bit of air tumble. So there it is willing to entertain thoughts and ideas as well as experiences with said modifications. Off to figure out how to get my twilight sensor out of the dash where it fell 6 months ago lol.

If you are referring to the past I think you are, it is my understanding that is a muffler of sorts to remove sc noise. Not sure if removing it would improve performance, but I'm confident that it would not hurt.

Which is an odd part to have on an NA engine. Think ill fiddle with it this weekend let you all know. thanks. I wouldnt think so either but some engines are super picky on how the air flows not just how much.
this box =)

Sorry, didn't read your sig'. Still may be for noise reduction.
