I am shopping for one that has an android operating system plays CDs,radio,mp3, google maps, gps, etc.
and i want to put it in that spot.

| I think somebody did a single din down there, but not a double. Plenty of space for it though, it's half tempting to have one there for GPS/DVD/SD card/Bluetooth and have it going into the stock headunit for radio and volume control. That way you could retain steering wheel controls without one of those junky adapters. Did any of the radios that used the 32 pin have an aux in? It would make it a lot easier.
That being said, I would suggest a Pioneer AppRadio. Get the gen 2 if you have an android phone. That way you could mirror/control it through the headunit. The gen 3 has developers working on an app for it, but nothing has been released yet. These apps are not made by Pioneer. A third party developer made them for exact 1:1 mirroring. Pioneer's app only supports stripped down and restricted control. | |
