First, every morning when i forst drive my car i hear a grinding noise going from 1st to second gear and i can feel it through the gas pedal.. any ideas?

Second. I checked my trans fluid and there are little bubbles in it. Any ideas. And should my car be running when i check that fluid?

Yes, fluid should be checked with car running, at operating temperature and on level ground. If you have a grinding between shifts, it may be a sign of a damaged internal part. Fluid level problems will result in slipping but not grinding. I would guess you will need a rebuild or a swap for a used one. Sorry to hear of your misfortune, Good luck!

I'm thinking that if you can feel it in the pedal, you should probably check the trans mounts. The back one is probably wiped out by now if it's OEM and the movement of the metal on metal could create the sensation.

Like dave said, fluid check with engine running, warm, best after driving, idling in Park on level ground. Should be clear/red, not brown.
