they will just plug into OBD port under dash.
you don't have to do anything.

I just got a IAT sensor from the junk yard to put on my PVC intake but i dont have the gasket. Can i just drill a hole and silicon the sensor to the PVC? If so, what kind of silicon do I get?

Any RTV silicone will do. The intake doesn't get that hot. You could also use a 5 min epoxy.

Make sure the sensor extends into the middle of the tube. Don't get any RTV or epoxy on the business end of the sensor. IMPORTANT: if the intake is already installed, don't run the car until the RTV is completely dry. I'd let it sit a day to be sure. If using epoxy, you can run after drying 15 min.

i personally like the PVC look over the spectre look, not to mention you can go with 4" PVC instead of the 3" spectre.
also, you can paint the PVC instead of having white or the chrome spectre:

Probably cheaper too. Maybe I'll give it a try and spray it black. Its just the idea of using plumbing for a house in the engine bay of a car is weird to me! If it works then why not though.

It's also good to know PVC will begin to melt if boiling coolant or hot steam makes contact for a long enough period. Probably not a huge concern, but if your engine overheats, or there is a fire, you'll need to build a new one.

That being said, i have a metal 3.5" WAI now b/c after i put in the N* i couldnt fit the PVC in there.

ive always wondered about this, couldnt you take a dremel and sand down the edge of the PVC on the inside and out on the end with the N* to fit? thats the part that youre talking about not fitting right?

mine didnt fit b/c after the adapter, LQ4 and TB i couldnt find a PVC piece short enough or angled enough to clear the rivs massive coolant overflow tank.
