I picked it up today and I'm gonna be riding the hell out of it as soon as legally possible - need to transfer my insurance to it. My ninja 250 is getting sold as is to a gentleman who's going to make a project out of it for his son. I was gonna wait till next year to buy this but since my ninja is proving to be a pain in the ass to get up and 100% again, I just wanted to get a bike that's ready to go so I can focus on the riv this summer. I need to yank the engine and everything so I'll kinda need something to get around on in the meantime.

Side note, I think I need to officially write out a will.

Robo, you're the most kickass 53-year-old dude ever.

I wish I could trade my truck for a bike for over the summer, then trade it for a truck again come come winter. Haha

See those arrows on the tank? Keep that end up and stay between the ditches. Awesomeness.

To go along with Karma, do as my dad always says and keep her oily side down!

I got to scoot around on the new bike a bit this week. It's not nice-nice out yet but I was anxious to get back riding. Next week looks like it's gonna be too cold. frown Anything below low 60's kinda sucks.
First impression was scary, very scary. I was unfamiliar with the concept of truly excess torque and it didn't help that my first ride out I decided to wear the gloves I just got which were too small and cutting off feeling in my hands which I needed every bit of to get a feel for things. I read a lot about how this bike can be unforgiving in the wrong circumstances and whatnot so I as just white knuckles the first 10 miles. I've gotten over the initial shock of it and am now happy with it (instead of frightened). I still haven't really gone wide open beyond maybe 6k rpm or so because it's just not doable without obliterating traffic laws. The motor is insane. You can just be in a high gear cruising at 2-2.5k rpm and just yank the throttle and it just goes - no downshifting necessary. It's so weird too because you can feel the low frequency vibration of every power stroke happening and it feels wrong like the engine should hate it and fall on its face but it just doesn't care haha. It matches my riding style just like I hoped. I love sport bikes for their nimbleness & precision, then speed. It sounds absolutely awesome and I've gotten so much attention and compliments about it in the week I've had it, it's ridiculous. This is a 15 year old dirt cheap sport bike that was never great selling to start with.

I looked at a few superhawks. This one spoke to me more than the others. (Ok I did have a soft spot for the yellow too) I for one thought the arrows were cleverly humorous and it's totally something I would have done after laying it down.

It is one of the most comfortable sport bikes ever made.Cruise along a quiet highway late at night doing a $20 or so,lay on the tank and fall in love
