It seems to be coming from the evap canister purge valve. is this normal ? Will it go away if I replace it? It's annoying and loud lol.

Purge Valves tick, yes. They will actually tick fast or slow, depending on which duty cycle the PCM is commanding. I never noticed it being overly loud on the Riv. However, the newer GM Purge Valves sound like a damn lifter tick when they're on.

I guess I will just have to live with it. I just never recall it being this loud, but oh well.
Maybe on my next trip to a scrap yard i'll grab one off something with a l67, swap it out see if it makes a difference.
