| Other than a brake upgrade, is there any real benefit to moving 1998 riviera front suspension components to a 1996 riviera? | |

Maintenance, repair and operations parts availability. Thanks. I ask about the swap because I have, in my driveway, a 96 sc daily driver and a 98 with ugly body damage and a head gasket issue. My hope is pull the motor/transmission from 98, repair head gasket and move it and tranny to 96. The front suspension will be right there, easier to get to. I'm researching my options. I forgot to mention there is a business here that rents a lift bay for $35 an hour. Would it be easier to put the 98 on the lift and remove front suspension and motor/transmission from the bottom of is it easier to remove from the top?

No idea. The struts and mounts are different. The transmission mount was different. How important those difference were, I do not know.
