Lower control arm brand choice? Empty
PostSubject: Lower control arm brand choice?   Lower control arm brand choice? EmptySun Dec 13, 2020 12:35 pm

I am planning to get '97 Regal lower control arms for my '96 Riv. I am looking for good brands.

Mevotech's "Supreme" arms state that they have "upgraded" bushings. The AC Delco Professional arms are similarly priced.

The Moog Problem Solver are labeled as the "premium" ones and they're more expensive than the Delco Pro, but I've heard horror stories about them.

Mevotech's "Terrain Tough" arms are also more expensive, but the reviews mostly came from the 4X4 forums, hardly any passenger cars.

Idea on the quality on these? Just go with Delco Pro?

Are the lower control arms for the Regal compatible?  Didn't realize the 96 is that much different a design.  You can get them for the 98-99 I know.  That's interesting.  Top is the 97 Regal Front Lower Right Control arm, bottom is the 98-99 Riviera design.

There was an old thread about the Regal LCAs, IIRC they bolt in but the alignment angles are permanently wrong and too far to be shimmed and what-not. IIRC the best solution was to replace bushings. There was an Audi bushing for one of them. Details were in the (very long) thread, which I can not seem to find ATM.
