That supercharger sounds incredible! Pretty smooth idle for a big cam. Well done.

What a f#%ed up day. Got a call from my attorney saying my x-wife wants to come in from where ever she lives now and visit the children for Mothersday. Last time she was her I had to have her escorted out by police... Delayed my visit to the body shop in the middle of BFE this moring. Got lost on the way to the body shop because I was on the phone with my attorney and wasted a half tank of gass driving aroung and missed Paul at the Dyno shop so I missed out on him being able to tune the car while at the dyno. Dyno shop was busier than heck so that was delayed until late this afternoon. FINALLY got in for dyno at 4:30. All third gear runs...
Gets worse... I'm nervous about the dyno because I've never done one before (don't want to look like an ass) and ask they do the run while I take a vid. Here is the first run...
Scary as a hell when standing in front of the car. First time it's happened to the guys at the shop and we all had to take a time out and smoke a couple cigs. The guy that ran a pass before me (which was a full blown Mazda race car that ran Grand Am) melted the belt slightly with his muffler which caused it to snap under torque while my car was being tested. Thankfully no damage!!!
Second run I stayed in back to film. (Here's your exhast clip Corey).
Here is the last run... from the front again as soon as I got my nuts to drop back into place from the first run...
Dyno results will be posted as soon as I get the software downloaded from dynojet's web site to read the file. I am happy with the runs considering the hell'a day I had.

Good runs. The exhaust sounds good for what the 3800 is IMO.

Damn, that must've been scary. You could've sued for any damage, but it wouldn'tve made up for all the time you put into it. That's a pretty loud supercharger, and I can't wait to see the figures you put down on those rollers!

I'm still shaking. The pull was in 3rd gear so he couldn't get on it until 83mph or it would downshift into 2nd which would throw off the dyno. When it slid off, it was just going into decelleration so whatever mph in 3rd gear @ 6000rpm...well over 100mph.
I wouldn't have to (or want to) sue. The guys I have work on my car now would take car of anything that would have happened. It's hard to find people you are comfortable with... they have the best reputations and there is a reason for it. That was in no way their fault... just Murphey's law.
It still makes me sick looking at it...

I used my PT to change my shift points so it wouldn't downshift or upshift while on the dyno.
That's some scary shit. Now you know why some shops don't let customers drive while on the dyno.
I was a passenger in a GTP dyno pull working the scanner/laptop, and on the slowdown the driver turned the steering wheel... YIKES... Talk about some funny noises from under the car...

That dyno slip was crazy... not sure I would've put the car back up after that! Friends or not...
Glad no damage, though. I agree with Derek about shift points. If you are going to have the car making this much power, you should change up the shift points to take advantage of it. My dyno run was in 2nd gear, well over 100 mph before 6k RPM.

I'm back!
Sorry about the leave of absence but I'm back in full force and have lots to share. First things first....
Blue graph is best of three from the first session. Red is best of two on my last dyno session after 8 rib belt install and good tune. Taking into account our cars loose between 17-24% through the drivetrain, I'm making between 409 and 433 at the crank!
Tonight I will post photos of my new surprise and catch everybody up to date on the Riviera with a short kill list. I have a LOT of catching up to do with new posts...

Here is a little project I did during my absence... All there is to do now is to clean up the welds and paint (although I might have them powdercoated)... These help out tremendously especially the rears. The back end feels more "planted" and the front is much more touchy. The STS was nice up front but I had clearance issues like Bert and with bending the tabs, I thought structural integrety would be lost.
Yes there is clearance above the brake reservour and the electrical box...
Now the back...
Next to come... FWI (again) now that the IC and GenV is on...
