Is that ignition wire really that close to your SC belt, or does it just look that way?

It's close but the photo makes it look a lot closer than it is... you should see some of the other clearance areas around the belts quiet

The Riv looks small when you drop it down a little... granted it;s about 2 1/5 feet longer than both cars its parked next to. Just got back from flogging it a little today. I'll have a couple videos up this weekend of some agressive driving.

Nice fabrication work.
Looks like someone might build racecars?

That's the best part about living in Indianapolis, there are a ton a race shops around! The guys who did the strut tower braces own a couple ARCA cars, the brake fab and suspension machining came from a Indy car team, and I have access to a friends paint booth who runs A1GP. (It goes in after the Riv meet) My cousin is taking the Riv to Putnam (road course) next month plus we have Muncie and IRP for straight line...

Got it done yesterday. What a difference!

Very basic design but strong as hell. It dosen't flex at all. I might have the top machined to match the fuel logs.

holy crap...now thats belt wrap!!! very nice!

yeah, machine it so it looks like the rails or maybe even like the ribs on the blower...

if you want, it looks like you can tap a bolt hole on top or the side to mount a better looking spark plug wire separator....

I know I keep bringing it up, but watch that #4 ignition wire!

But very nice idea. The Riv's got great belt routing, but you can't beat that set-up for grip.

Did you feel you needed it? Did you notice a change in boost numbers?

Absolutely! I was getting a lot of belt slippage before- even with the 8 rib and sandblasted pulley. I will get in back in for the dyno on Monday for exact numbers but it is definitely apparent on the street. Much quicker throttle response and pulls harder on the top too.

I also got the intake all taken care of too. Stock box with K&N but opened up on bottom and fender area. I will take photos of that too soon...

Got a 0-60 run in on the back roads. Obviously I had some traction issues.

Just a swing around the block. I need to get someone else to vid so I can open it up on some country roads...

Nice. Even with the slip, you're hitting 60 at in about 5 secs. I'd like to see a 50-100 run. smile

I can't remember if I have the shift points set at 6000 or 6200rpm- I'm thinking it's 6200rpm.

Anyway on the 0-70 run you can see (and hear) I am spinning tires until right before the second shift around 45mph. At 40mph, that's when I am able to go WOT. Just in time for the quick shift into 2nd which the tires briefly break traction again.

I will try a proper 0-60 roll soon when the tires are heated up a little and I can find a stickier road. I will also have someone else hold the camera so I can focus on driving the car better and faster.
