| I like how you found a place to take pictures where the background matches the color of your exterior. I should take my pictures at night so I can do that too! (my car's black) then nobody will see my crappy paint edit: Oh yeah, nice looking car too!

you might notice in the side shot, in the reflection of the car, there is a small building. I *might* have been on its roof. _________________

| so, the following media is not actually of my riv. But its what my Riv sees on a cruise. From its perspective. Quick vid I made with my licence plate cam. Its just a small notebook webcam that I've made to peek through one of the holes of my front licence plate. Can't be seen from the front. The vids i took i did at 640X480, and im wishing I didn't cause its kind of jittery. Anyway, from the vid you will see that eventually i just got sick of trying to mix the audio and started leaving it out. and also got sick of the jitters and sped up the footage to remove it. Then my choice of music got to me, and the end is kind of trippy. Anyway, just a quick little render here, enjoy!: file size: 30mb

What camera/mic did you use, and can you show a pic of where/how it's mounted?? ya, i started following the other riv, but then it was just an old couple in it, so I didn't feel as cool following it. I'll take a pic of the bracket torm, its pissing rain right now. I'm glad everyone liked it. Maybe I'll do a better quality one later. _________________

| And since people asked what the bracket looked like: Below is a pic of the front licence plate with the cam peeking out the lower left hole. (Yeah, I know the licence plate is really beat up, but I've had it since my first car) And another pic from the side: note the white sticky tack, just holding the focus knob still. also the microphone hole is plugged with the stuff to make the sound semi useful. And with the bracket twisted down so you can see how it works. (its kind of bent up, i had to mangle it so it match my mangled licence plate) The cam is connected to a nice 5' USB extension cable that runs into the engine bay and up through the passenger door-jam. I usually only have it connected up when I want to shoot a vid though. Sometime Ill have to try another vid at 320X240, since thats what i would shrink it down to for the web anyway.. then maybe It wont be jittering as much in realtime. Another "issue" with the web cam thing is since its peaking from behind the licence plate the lens is always in a shadow, and the internal light sensor thinks its really dark and tries to adapt. The result is the image is really washed out in normal sunlight. On a side note its perfect in the evening under streetlight! also i keep having this urge to slouch down in the drivers seat so no one can see me and just drive by the video image on the laptop ... _________________ | |

| Straight up James Bond. I love it I like the way you edited it, too. The music, speeding it up, the effects. People don't realize how boring it would be to watch if you didn't do that stuff. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |
