The timelapse covers roughly 6-8 hours a day for 4 days. The camera was set to take an image every 5 seconds, with a result of 13,130 images being created. This was just over a gig of space at the 320 rez. The images then got converted to an AVI with each image being a frame at 30 fps. The actual qualtiy is much better on my edit, but we know how youtube reduces that. I also shut the camera off for extended times of nothing happening.

Anyway, it looks like I have content for a 95 writeup of: LIM change, TB clean, SC coupler change, and an odd assortment of other things. These will be posted as soon as i get a chance to change my rough notes to a real writeup and upload the pictures.

And a few images:

First I had to take the engine out and get it on a stand:
Photobucket

ok, so thats not my engine, thats my brother's project 3.1 with my extra supercharger. Why supercharge a 3.1? not because it should be done, but because he can.

My engine before the week of work:
Photobucket

And after:

Well, its been awhile since I've put anything on here, so I figured I'd put in some sound clips of the M62 with the Intense FWI. Eventually I have plans for not only the 1:8 rockers, but some *special* machining on the old LIM that I took off. and maybe some porting on the TB, not that I will really gain much from it. All to happen sometime this summer. Also I need to do some exhaust work before I'm very much older, got some large visible cracks in the EMs, not that its suprising with the age of the car.

anyway, heres some good ol' m62 whine:

The "sticker" is really just an image I found online, modified in photoshop, and printed on photo paper. Feel free to save the image from my sig and print your own. And thanks for the comments, I've hoping that this summer some pretty "crazy" things will happen to the 95 if i can find some time to get to the machine shop....

i must say that s/c whine is wicked. i have done the fwi and 2.5 pulley and mine doesnt nearly sound that loud. does the LIM and the p&p make that much of a difference? also how did filling in the holes for more noise go?

I ended up running out of time when doing all the work, so I didn't end up filling in the holes. Next time I have it off the car I might have a go. Its really hard to know what the P&P did, since it was all done at the same time as everything else, including the pulley drop. The non-walled LIM, in theory made it much louder, since I am led to understand that the walls in the 95 LIM are mostly for sound levels.

Going to do a number of things this year to it though. Once we get the wife's riv back onto the road, mine will come off for a bit. Then the rockers go on, PEM's or custom headers, and I'm going to look into the differences between my stock 95 LIM and the 93 non-walled one I have on the car now. I recall hearing somewhere that the stock 95 one was a little taller to make a bit more torque. So if its true, I might machine out the walls in the stock one and use it. Other fun plans involve some kind of intercooler, or maybe if i get convinced of the gains, seeing if I can be the first ever to stick an m90 onto the series one. The fabrication for it woulden't be that hard for me, biggest prob from me would be finding an eaton SC snout for the m90 thats shorter. Would have to look into some of their other SCs and applications.

and one i'll get in trouble with the wife for posting: smile

Gotta say, for anyone who has not used a claybar on their car yet, give it a try, and finish it up with meguiars 3 step deep crystal wax system. Looks sweet!

Also, I finally broke down and bought one of those dual trumpet air horns, it was on sale. Got it installed, and I actually really like it. Its very much a "Euro" sound. I wasn't sure how I would like it when I got it, but it must be good as I giggle like a little kid every time I use it.

For the horn I made a plate out of 1/4" steel, drilled all the mounting holes, painted it black, mounted the horns and compressor to it, and bolted the plate in beside the hold for my FWI.
