Ha ha a new believer in the rear STB How does the wall thickness on your braces compare to the STS brace?
I'm bookmarking all those vids . . .

My new STBs make the STS brace look like a straw. These have zero flex.
Jack- did you get some fabbed up for the rear too?

Yeah, I did a write up about modding the STS brace for the rear months ago, but so far as I know you and I are the only ones with rear STB's.
I noticed a big improvement as well - before the rear STB the back end felt like it was wallowing and rebounding out of control, afterwards it felt nicely tied down. I temporarily cranked the rancho's up to six and the handling was transformed, it became quite responsive. But that setting is a little stiff for regular driving

Had to get my car on the dyno one last time before it went in for paint. It was just for fun and to make sure everything was running fine and to get the fueling proper. Check out the flame from the exhaust when it hit the rev limiter. Yes it caught me off guard so I jumped a little... In person it was 2 feet long and very bright. The camera does not catch this very well. I will have a much better vid up later tonight when Paul (PRJ Performance) gets his uploaded...

That's great! I bet you can see this at night whenever you let off at high speed.
Kill the rev limiter? Why in hell would you do that?!! The whole engine bay would be on fire!

I definitely want the rev limiter in place. I moved mine up higher a bit as well as my shift points.
As far as the cost of the dyno- it varies. Usually for 3-5runs its $80. Sometimes he dosen't charge me anything. Today I was in his shop all day tinkering and got 10-12 runs in, had him do some fabbing up on the intake, and bought 5gal worth of 110 octane. Bill came to $200 which isn't bad ($40 of it was gas). I have seen some shops asking $900 for dyno sessions. It's nice to have certain friends.
Next time I go out crusing at night I need to keep it in first gear, throttle up to 6200rpm then completely get of the gas. Should suprise anyone behind me!

I'll work on that Blake. When I played around with the dyno app on the Ipod, I was planning on taking a video but I figured on a public road, my attention needed to be on the road, any traffic, and of course police. Blasting down of the interstate at 120mph+ takes a lot of your attention away from everything else. Even the 0-70 run vid I did felt uncomfortable holding the camera adn trying to drive at the same time. I need to find a mount and a proper camera (using a olympus stylus 770SW currently). Paul's camera was really nice and fairly inexpensive so I might invest in one like his sometime soon. I would realy like to take a movie like the one AA has posted (outside of the car on a short drive).

This is hands down the best Riv I've ever seen. Those wheels look SICK on that car.
Eric, what part of Indy are you from? I'm not that far from Indy and I've got family in Beech Grove.

96reese and Chicken- I'm not really sure what I have invested in the car let alone the engine. I do however have every reciept for each nut and bolt replaced, modification, and labor invoice. One of these days I will have to total it up.
manofmany- I appreciate the comments. I'm in Plainfield- we'll have to do some cruising once my car is done with paint.
The car is finally in for paint. I started working on it Saturday 6:30 am through 6:30pm. Today I was at it again at 6:00am through 4:30pm. As of now, doors, hood, trunk lid, bumpers, triming, (and as of late tonight quarter glass and trim) everything but the front fenders are apart, sanded, etched (where needed), and primed (again where needed). The only thing broken in the dissambely was the corner lens on the inside of the driver's door. We are not painting the door jambs however we did remove all of the trim so it will hide any paint lines after reinstallation.
Next week we will do the final blocking and go over the car again with 600grit before sealer then base followed by clear. I will go with black however there are some wanting me to add a dark red pearl with the black basecoat. If I go with pearl, it would be a silver I think. It is a DD so I might just stay away from pearl all together. The following week we will put it all together and move it to a closer location for final sand and buff.
During this time the wheels will be sent in for refinishing and lip polishing. New Nitto 555's will be installed onto the rims after powdercoated. Chrome trim is in excellent condition and will be polished and the weather stripping and rubber trim will be replaced or reconditioned as needed.
After this is all done it goes in to have window tint removed and reinstalled (possible a little darker) and the cornering lenses and rear taillight blacked out with the vinyl coating mentioned in one of Chickens threads in exterior.
Estimated downtime 3-4wks.... then interior!

Your car looks bad assed even taken apart!
So you're not going with the Satin then?
Smoking that cornering light is gonna look awesome....
