theres 2 small holes behind the TB that allow coolant in, the gasket and the o-rings might be shot...its a relatively cheap fix...what kind of engine you working with? check out www.intense-racing.com

First off, I'm not a MECHANIC.

Next... I don't think any serious damage would be caused by a small amount of coolant going thru the SC. Clean up/out as much as possible from the TB/intake areas. Replace your TB gaskets. Sorry I can't offer any more advice than that.

you probably have a vacumn leak somewheres... as for the coolant...i wouldnt wory too much, unless its in the oil...anti-freeze eats bearings...ive seen regular 3.8's blow intake gaskets..and were so bad it filled the cylinders,,an hydrolocked the engine...seal it back up with new gaskets..clean out what you can of the coolant....start it let it smoke out...an your good...

Since you can't drive it anyway, I would take the TB off right off the bat and see what that looks like. If the problem isn't apparent there, maybe intake. Either one could explain the high idling and dieing. Bad sealing => vac leak - high idle, coolant leak - accumulation of coolant into the intake path and engine dies.
I would definitely suggest not starting it ever again until it's fixed. Good news is that the problem may not be expensive to fix if it's just gaskets/seals and fluid flushes.

just wondering - did you notice what the exhaust smoke looked like while it ran. I would expect if its idling that high and dieing right after, you should see some interesting stuff happening out the exhaust.

if the IAC valve is messed up it will rev up like that. make sure it is clean and not installed wrong.
like stated b4, i would disassemble the TB and clean everything up, then reinstall it with a new gasket, making sure it is tight and sealed.
good luck
