| If it's not modified, just stick with the OEM stuff (AC Delco). You'll have trouble finding wires that last as long as the delcos and the spark plugs although rediculously priced will also last a long time.
Alternatively, you can save a few bucks and get the autolite platinums (AP) but don't waste the money on 'double platinum' or multiple pronged spark plugs.
If the motor has been modified you want to get a cooler plug that will help disperse that heat a little better.
Just my opinion... | |

| Autolight 605 copper plugs should work great in a stock supercharged car. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

Be ready to fight the 3 back plugs , the wires can be a pain to get off if they are the original and you are pulling with your hands.

Consider: http://www.magnecor.com I have over 100,000 miles of highway use on my Magnecor wire set, they are still in *great* shape. I used the Electrosports 80 grade. Albertj

| You're welcome. If you look around this site you'll find a thread where it appeared the Magnecor people were trying to "encourage" a group buy of their 10mm wires. They wailed that they were not employed by Magnecor (but they did not say they did not own it, which I still suspect because their writing looked very much like the style used in the essays on the Magnecor site). And hey, I got sucked in. I posted a response saying basically the 8mm wires were *so* good why bother. The thread turned into a very polite flame war. Pretty funny at the time. It ran 6 pages! The thread is THIS LINK, and it was not very flattering to anyone. I don't know whether they *ever* sold a group buy of those 10mm wires. That said, Magnecor makes **outstanding** wires. They understand how & why they work better than many if not most auto techs do and you can read it all on their web site. After having had the things on my car for so many miles I can easily see why Magnecor is still in business. It's on my very short list of products (Blizzak tires, Techron fuel additive, Magnecor wires) of products that no kidding do what they are promoted as doing. I would definitely get the Magnecor 7 mm or 8mm wires without thinking about it, it's really turned out to be a "once and done" purchase.

| I have the same ride. Just did mine with Bosh titanium plus and bosh wires from AZ. I got the good wires too. There is a lot of debate between single and multi-ground electrodes. I think it's a load of BS and just another marketing scheme so I got the singles. No problems so far. Good luck. | |

I had a set of Bosch wires on a Subaru, they lasted a bit more than a year before one of the conductors broke itself off in a terminal. I then put the OE wires back on-- I'd only taken them off due to age and they looked fine when removed so I put 'em back. Hope you have better luck with your Bosch wires.

| Albert, does Magnecor offer a custom set for our cars or do you have to assemble them?

They are custom. Actually, I think they make them to order. They arrive in a properly marked but nondescript box. If you go to their web site http://www.magnecor.com you'll find the .pdf catalog, it shows the number to order and I think there is a separate price list. Albertj

You're welcome. I heard Taylor wires are very good too, never used them. For the Riv the OE wires (Delco) are an excellent choice, they are not that pricey and you'll get 40-60K miles out of them. Based on my own experience and what I've read on the board. Most other aftermarket wires will not, over time and miles, handle the very high energy of the GM ignition that's on this car. It'd be interesting to have the $ and a reason to really compare wires. Albertj
