I just replaced my crank sensor in my 95 S/C Riveira. If the car is cranking with no start/spark and no fuel that is your problem. $30 at the local Advanced Auto and had it replaced in less than 45 minutes...
From what I am told, the crank sensor is a Hall-Effect type and cannot be tested in any way, shape or form.
I used my Snap On MT2500 scanner and wasn't picking up any rpm's as I cranked it over with the key - that points to a bad crank sensor.
FYI, the old sensor looked about a year or two old....looked new but was made in China....enough said!

Well if you are getting spark and have a new ECM, maybe the cam sensor is causing the misfiring. Sounds like a cam sensor but I am not positive.
Have you priced a new cam sensor - if it is cheap enough, it may be shotgunning the part, but if it is under $50 and you can do it yourself, it may be an alternative.
Or get someone to scan the computer...

parts in Canada are really expensive. It's robbery now that the cdn $ is worth more than the USD. GM list in the US is approximately gm dealer COST in Canada.

Sag, if you need genuine gm parts, contact me and I'll set you up with Dal. GM cost (us) + 10% + shipping. You need to get a few parts in order for it to be really worth it with the shipping.
