Greetings!

I am the proud owner of a 1998 Riv. I purchased the car new, and I have put on about 110000 miles since then. I found this forum while searching Google for information about replacing the supercharger belt.

My Riv has two modifications: wood trim accents for the dash and the installation of an empeg (mp3) stereo system. Details on the audio installation can be found on my empeg site (slightly out of date).

Greetings!

Nice to be here. I tend to be more of a lurker, but I thought I would at least introduce myself to start things off.

Yup - I am the original owner, and over 100000 miles on that single belt. I guess there is a great deal of luck involved with that.

Thank you for that link. That is a great tutorial on replacing the belts, and exactly what I had been searching for. In my specific case, I am not mechanically talented (as in "if you see me with a wrench, have emergency services standing by..."). My mechanic is doing the work right now. I was just trying to read up a bit about it to find out what was involved.
